지암남덕우경제연구원는 우리나라의 시장경제 발전을 위한 이론 및 정책의 연구와 교육, 이념정립에 목적을 두고 설립되었습니다. 우리나라의 시장경제 발전의 목적아래, 저희 연구소는 '시장경제와 정부정책의 조화' 를 추구하고, '자유롭고 공정한 시장질서의 조성' 에 기여하여 '경제성장엔진의 재점화'를 지향하고 있습니다. 그리고 이를 위하여, '경제정책 평가와 개발의 플랫폼', '경제교육의 요람', '경제이념의 산실' 이 되고자 합니다.

Vision
The NERI (Nam Duck Woo Economic Research Institute) was established with the purpose of conducting research and education on theories and policies for the development of Korea’s market economy, as well as establishing its underlying principles. Under the goal of advancing Korea’s market economy, the institute pursues “harmony between market economy and government policy,” contributes to “the establishment of a free and fair market order,” and aims for the “revitalization of economic growth engines.” To achieve these goals, the institute strives to serve as a “platform for evaluating and developing economic policies,” a “center for economic education,” and a “foundation for economic ideology.”
Main Activities
1. Conducting comprehensive research on the development of the market economy
2. Undertaking commissioned research projects from external institutions
3. Hosting research presentations, seminars, and public lectures, and publishing academic works
4. Promoting academic exchange with domestic and international research institutions
5. Supporting educational programs to enhance proper understanding of the market economy
